I cleaned it up and painted with Rustoleum bonded primer so it is ready for your paint. There is a bit of very light red peeking through, but it has had 4 coats of a good primer and has that sanded feeling, paint should cover it just fine, but it may need a second coat in these areas. Please look at photos very closely so you can see exactly what you will be getting.
