This is a beautiful gold plated brass candle holder made in china as stated on the box. The brass has cut outs to let candle light in. I see nothing wrong with this piece, except the candle cup is likely a cheaper metal and looks as it may have some rust. Please look at photos carefully as they are part of the description.
