This is beautiful vintage mid-century Italian shell cameo brooch. It appears to be hand-carved out of sardonyx shell, which glows under my flashlight. Gold-tone bezel frame with an elegant twisted rope accent border. It was pinned in a velvet feeling nag with Francesca on it, I could find noting with this exact bag with this brooch. This is not an area I am very familiar with, please look closely at photos so you understand condition. I see no chips, cracks, or hairline fractures. The gold-tone frame shows minimal wear and the pin functions perfectly. Itnis 1 3/4 tall and 1 1/2" wide.
