Please see photos to understand condition and they are part of the description. I see no cracks or chips. There is wear or etching on both edges likely from wires. There are raised letters that are hard to read but I see A.G.K the GK standing for Gustav Krumrey the designer of this style of insulator. It says something else but I cannot read it, I took several photos of it. It is 3 1/2" long and 1 1/4" wide
